Black New England Conference
June 13 & 14, 2008

2008 Black New England Conference

 

A 2-day conference that gathers scholars, teachers, researchers, community members and members of local organizations to share their work and insights on the Black experience past and present in New England.

This year's conference will focus broadly on forms of Black expression and Black creativity in New England. Through the stories of well know as well as little known authors and artists, presenters will explore how literature, art or oratory was/is used by Blacks to discuss issues of the day.
